Local Leaders

Golden West College Leadership

Golden West College’s Entrepreneurial Club and other students are invited to learn leadership skills that will provide hands-on experience needed in their careers and enterprise.  CIELO co-hosts workshops and seminars aimed at teaching public speaking, networking, leading working groups, goal setting and other valuable themes.  Workshops are held at GWC and are conveniently scheduled so that students can attend school and expand their leadership skills.

Oak View Residential Leadership

Central to Oak View Renewal Partnership (OVRP)work is the philosophy that sustainable change cannot be achieved through service provision alone. Sustainable change must be accompanied by the empowerment of active engagement, accountability, and leadership from the community we serve. With that larger goal in mind, OVRP continues to implement programs that can be supported by local, homegrown leadership, and that address systemic issues facing our community.  Leaders are identified and formed to become change agents and help create the solutions needed to make systemic change in their community.

Oak View residents will be connected to CIELO through OVRP’s work in the community.  These residents will have the opportunity to access all of CIELO’s programming, including the workshops and seminars aimed at teaching public speaking, networking, leading working groups, goal setting and other valuable themes. Workshops are held at GWC and are conveniently scheduled so that Oak View residents have access to expand their leadership skills.
